In the last update Tableau Software, Pentaho BI (open source) and Style Intelligence are added on their request. Compared to 2005, today, an increasing number of business intelligence vendors are doing a lot more than business intelligence like Oracle, Microsoft, IBM and SAP. These vendors acquired Siebel BI and Hyperion (Oracle), ProClarity (Microsoft), Cognos and Applix TM/1 (IBM) and Business Objects (SAP) because they wanted their piece of the business intelligence market and they didn’t have a real BI tool of their own.
